Marking Policy

First of all, if you're not a teacher, please don't be put off. This marking style is pretty self-explanatory. You may have seen it in a child's exercise book. Gosh, you may have even seen it in your own book, young'un! 😀

WWWEBI, sometimes referred to as "weeby", is the type of marking I've been directed to use for many years in a number of schools. And it goes a little something like this...

WWW = What Went Well

That's all! A pat on the back in writing, fully described and explained, of course. A replacement for the 'Well done' (with little or no further comment) we received when I was at primary school. Here's hoping I have enough to write for my WWW each week.

EBI = Even Better If

There's always room for improvement, and this is where the suggestions for what you could do are stated.

Next Steps...

Sometimes incorporated into the EBI part. However, if the what above needs a little clarification, 'next steps' covers the how.

On a final note...

I'll give myself an overall grade based on the old-school A - F scale just because I miss using it... Been on that 9 - 1 thing for years.

Cool. So, now you're an expert on how I'll mark my weekly homework.

Nothing serious, though. Expect silliness.

Easy-peasy 😊
